MATRIXX Software, a leading cloud-native, 5G monetization solution provider, recently publicized performance results from its IBM Cloud for Telecommunications implementation.
With the rising need for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to monetize their 5G investments, MATRIXX Software’s 5G CCS (Converged Charging System) achieved a new milestone. The new milestone is – 200 K transactions per second (TPS) across 100 million subscribers running on IBM Cloud for Telecommunications.
Its average latency is 7.4 milliseconds across all operations, including network routing and gateways. MATRIXX on IBM Cloud may allow CSPs to run essential network workloads in the cloud at similar or advanced performance levels as on-premises.
MATRIXX efficaciously delivered seamless scalability for an effective, flexible cloud-native charging solution, which further allows CSPs to test out newer ways of monetizing 5G workloads. This is a winning moment as 5G signifies about USD 667 billion opportunities by 2026 and impacts every industry.
To test and inspect new revenue streams, it is essential for CSPs to power their network transformation to manage augmented traffic from new devices and services.
Using a virtual blend of 4G and 5G traffic, MATRIXX utilized the IBM Cloud for Telecommunications, which is developed on Red Hat OpenShift, to offer more flexibility in harnessing data across cloud and on-premises environments.
The high-level performance by MATRIXX and IBM Cloud for Telecommunications could deliver reliable throughput and latency that helps providers run critical network workloads such as charging in the cloud.
This is the initial lab result since MATRIXX entered IBM’s partner ecosystem. Further, these results show the unified scalability of MATRIXX’s patented converged charging technology when blended with the IBM Cloud for Telecommunications.
In collaboration, the IBM’s Hybrid Cloud Build Team and MATRIXX have created a blueprint for best practices and configuration needs they could provide to CSPs to address their unique performance targets.
With innovations in business rule execution, data management, transaction processing, and data clustering, the cloud-native MATRIXX 5G CCS offers consistent throughput and latency within heterogeneous network environments. Thus, helping manage price plans across hundreds of millions of unique subscribers and devices.
