Datadobi, the global leader in unstructured data migration software, upscaled by adding a new software suite for the migration of unstructured data. It announced DobiMigrate 5.9 that constitutes added support for S3-to-S3 object migration. Customers can do any kind of data movement, such as through different vendors, cloud storage services, or maybe a mixture of the two. DobiMigrate 5.9 provides the ability to shift or rearrange the file and object data storage to optimal accessible storage service.
“We have always been a company that can manage our customers’ most difficult migration projects and have been involved in many different types of object migration projects over the years,” said Carl D’Halluin, Chief Technology Officer, Datadobi. “In this release, we are incorporating everything we have learned about S3 object migrations into our DobiMigrate product, making it available to everyone. We have tested it with the major S3 platforms including AWS to enable our customers’ journey to and from the cloud,” he added.
The addition is giving customers the ability to move the unstructured data whenever needed. This provision allows customers to optimize their storage deployments and data layout continuously. Also, they can easily assess and shift the data that belongs to premises and the data that lives better in the cloud.
Since it has absolute knowledge of cross-vendor storage compatibility, Datadobi is always undertaking migrations for an ever-expanding list of vendor products, storage protocols, and storage services.
“The exponential growth in the creation, storage, and use of unstructured data can create serious migration bottlenecks for many organizations,” commented Jed Scaramella, Program Director for IDC Infrastructure Services. “Migration services that leverage automation will mitigate risk, accelerate the process, and provide insurance that data transfers will proceed without interruptions.”
