Stockholm-based Kodiak Hub Raised USD six million in the latest funding led by Oxx to support its expansion in the US. The company develops a platform to help enterprises manage supplier relationships.

Kodiak Hub offers a cloud-based, AI-driven supplier relationship management solution, enabling strategic buyers and their teams to source high-quality products while enhancing supply chain efficiency.

“If you think about what a customer relationship management system is for an account executive, that’s what we are for a strategic buyer,” Malin Schmidt, Founder and Chief Executive of Kodiak Hub, reported. “So, we don’t focus on the operational, for example, ordering. It’s really where do we decide to place our billions of dollars when we make these large industrial buying decisions of stuff that goes straight into production.”

Schmidt emphasized that, unlike traditional legacy systems that can be rigid, Kodiak is designed to be user-friendly and plug-and-play, ensuring fast and seamless integrations. Many strategic buyers seek quick time-to-value and prefer to avoid long implementation processes, making a rapidly deployable platform essential.

Kodiak leverages AI to generate enriched supplier profiles by aggregating data from multiple sources, including web scraping and direct supplier input, to verify and validate information. This ensures customers can rely on accurate data for decision-making. Additionally, the platform’s AI offers predictive insights into a supplier’s future performance, helping businesses identify risks and make informed choices.

Currently, Kodiak manages over 250,000 suppliers across more than 20 industries. The company reports that its AI-powered system can reduce supplier onboarding time by 80% while enhancing supplier engagement by 90%. By automating supplier relationship management (SRM) tasks and generating AI-driven profiles, the platform saves users approximately 10 hours per week.

Kodiak primarily serves industries with complex and high-risk supply chains, including manufacturing, process industries, energy, and food production.

“The old truth was that in the middle of a trade war, the fewer the suppliers the better, but that’s not working when tariffs are changing day by day,” said Schmidt.

Companies now require a broader ecosystem of alternatives and the flexibility to switch suppliers quickly. This creates a complex web of contacts and due diligence, requiring businesses to continuously assess which suppliers offer the best capabilities and performance to meet their needs. Navigating and collaborating within this supplier network—while also managing the regulatory landscape—has become increasingly challenging.

Kodiak Hub currently operates in Europe, but with this latest funding round, Schmidt shared that the company plans to expand into the U.S. to help American businesses build more resilient and sustainable supply chains. This expansion comes at a crucial time, as companies face mounting pressures from regulatory changes, tariffs, and growing demands for supply chain transparency.

While most procurement platforms prioritize cost and efficiency, Schmidt emphasized that Kodiak takes a more holistic approach. By leveraging AI-powered, data-driven insights on supplier performance, Kodiak aims to empower U.S.-based companies to make smarter, more responsible purchasing decisions.
