Data center network
Juniper Networks, Inc. (JNPR) collaborated with edge cloud services provider Zenlayer to renovate the latter’s data center network while forming a global networking infrastructure.
The partnership will help Zenlayer support the rising adoption of automated and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered innovation across its network with greater efficacy on the back of Juniper’s AvantGrade Solutions (AGS).
These advanced solutions reduce network transmission delays with an enhanced consumer experience via the software-defined platforms. Thus, the concerned agreement that is believed to be a significant win highlights JNPR’s efforts in constructing a streamlined infrastructure, especially during the period when several network operators are migrating to automated connectivity solutions.
Zenlayer’s complete network solution
With high-performance network connectivity and ultra-low latency, Zenlayer allows consumers to lower their overall costs with a complete network solution. Its public cloud partners comprise cloud computing platforms such as:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) of Amazon.com
- Google Cloud of Alphabet Inc. GOOG with Equinix, Inc.
Juniper’s MX Series
As per the partnership, “Zenlayer will capitalize on Juniper’s MX Series Universal Routing Platforms to schedule traffic with its segment routing traffic engineering and address capacity demands on the back of robust telemetry capabilities. The MX series routers deliver the industry’s first end-to-end infrastructure security solution that is particularly designed to facilitate the transition of business-critical applications to public clouds.”
The modern MX series routing platform is driven by Juniper’s Junos operating system and Trio chipset. Thus, it helps network operators simplify the network infrastructure with reduced operating costs. Apart from the MX series, Zenlayer leverages Juniper’s SRX series of next-generation firewalls and QFX series of data center switches.
The QFX Series is an automated data center network with improved network reliability. The latest deployment will not just boost Juniper’s automation capabilities but also improve Zenlayer’s global connectivity.
Business growth
Juniper expects to boost its business growth based on the strength of its product portfolio. It aims to cash in on the rising demand for cloud computing, data center virtualization, and optical convergence/mobile traffic packet.
