Beyond Identity Inc., a firm that offers password-free multifactor authentication unveiled a new self-service application that will assist businesses in switching to the Okta Inc. Identity Engine.
Customers that use the new on-demand service can navigate new features and get ready for identification difficulties in the future. It also provides a clear migration roadmap.
A zero-trust security architecture can be built on the foundation of Okta’s Identity Engine, an identity platform that provides secure and adaptable user authentication. Since no person or device can be trusted, organizations use automation and identification restrictions to safeguard themselves. This is known as “zero trust.”
The platform improves the security of digital identities by enabling a password-free user interface and including authenticators resistant to phishing attacks. By integrating apps and tools, BeyondID’s self-service tool encourages a higher adoption of the new capabilities while easing the move from Okta’s Classic Engine to OIE.
Chief Executive and Co-founder of BeyondID, Arun Shrestha, said, “There is no one-size-fits-all solution when preparing to migrate to a new platform. Organizations want flexibility and consistency across platforms and apps while keeping their employees, partners, and customers secure. As a trusted Okta implementation partner with hundreds of implementations under our belt, BeyondID has the experience and expertise needed to help customers successfully deploy and realize the benefits of Okta Identity Engine.”
The new self-service tool features an implementation support system that provides customers with on-demand knowledge and assistance during OIE migration. Customers are able to establish an on-demand support agreement, determine the required level of service, and initiate the migration immediately.
Organizations can use the migration process as a roadmap to learn about and use new features, which promotes a higher rate of OIE adoption. The tool collaborates with different programs and devices to guarantee smooth integration and flexibility.
Arnab Bose, Chief Product Officer of Okta, stated that the company’s goal is to eliminate passwords because they are still associated with lax security procedures and phishing attacks. Bose mentioned, “Okta Identity Engine’s passwordless authentication with phishing-resistant factors can put customers on the path towards a passwordless future. Our partnership with BeyondID empowers customers to accelerate their OIE deployments and maximize their Okta investment.”
The last time BeyondID made headlines was in December when it unveiled Zscaler Inc. integration. It offers businesses device inspection, continuous identity, and authentication, allowing the real-time transfer of risk signals.
